Built to Evolve, Not to Replace
After debuting last year alongside her sister Sula, Victoria returns not just renewed, but reimagined. Months of analysis, sailor feedback, and hands-on testing have fueled our latest round of upgrades. From brand-new wings to a completely redesigned gantry and freshly developed foils, every change has a singular purpose: performance through sustainability.
At the heart of our project lies Victoria’s modular DNA. From the very beginning, her structure was conceived with adaptability in mind. That decision is now paying dividends: instead of starting from scratch, we’ve been able to quickly dive into redesigning and rebuilding the components that matter most.
The original hull has stood the test of competition and remains our foundation. Rather than discard it, we’re building on its proven strengths—reflecting our vision for long-lasting, low-impact design. Sustainability isn’t a buzzword here; it’s our blueprint.
Sustainable Engineering Meets Performance Design
The new wings are a perfect example of our hybrid design approach. Built on a lightweight wooden frame and reinforced with carbon tubes, they strike a balance between weight, rigidity, and comfort. The surface? Dacron, a durable, sail-like textile that’s both soft to sit on and built to last.
Our redesigned gantry also introduces major improvements. Constructed with tubular elements for stability and wrapped in a custom fairing, it’s optimized to reduce drag and improve control—especially during critical transitions and maneuvers.
Of course, sustainability remains at the core. We continue to use basalt fiber, appreciated not only for its mechanical performance but for its recyclability. Our molds are made from wood, and we’re actively researching ways to repurpose leftover fibers—steps toward a fully circular production model.
What We’ve Achieved So Far
This season’s upgrade program has already brought concrete milestones:
- Final designs for the new wings and gantry are complete.
- Manufacturing has officially begun.
- Foil development is underway, informed by real sailing data.
- Testing and component integration are progressing smoothly.
Beyond the lab, we’re staying plugged into the global sailing and engineering community. We proudly showcased our work at JEC 2025 in Paris and Metstrade in Amsterdam, and next up: Salone Nautico di Venezia in June—an exciting opportunity to share ideas and meet fellow innovators.
What Lies Ahead
As the SMC 2025 approaches, our to-do list is still full. Up next:
- 🔧 Complete production and assembly of all new appendages
- ⚙️ Integrate advanced control systems
- 🌊 Run water tests to tune performance and reliability
All of this requires seamless collaboration across our multidisciplinary team—from composite lamination to electronic systems, logistics to testing. Each task brings us closer to our goal: a flying Victoria, ready to compete at her peak.
